So, hello everyone that i have not talk to in a long time. This is Jaimee here and i can tell it is going to be a long night. GOOD NEWS THE PEOPLE BELOW ME JUST TURNED THEIR TV OFF AND I CANT HEAR ANYTHING BUT MY LITTLE FINGERS TYPING! okay, so if you are curious about what i am talking about i'll inform you. The people below us like to watch endless television in the evening and they pop a DVD in right before the want to fall asleep and they don't wake up for a while. SO, 12 o clock rolls around and the DVD is over and it goes to the disk menu which the music proceeds to play on repeat for a long time. It is irritating. i try and stomp on the floor to wake them up so that they remember to then turn off the TV. it worked last night but not this night. I've been praying for patients but when you get tired and you try every possible noise to reduce the noise below you just want to explode on someone. It is off now, and i plan on leaving a note on their mailbox in the morning asking them if they would kindly be considerate of their neighbors.
On another note, Sam and Ben are coming in the morning to visit us! I am so very excited about that. Morgan and i have to get up early today and get the apartment in ship shape for their arrival. Since it is a small apartment it wont be much of a chore for us though.
I guess our plans for tomorrow will include watching Lord of the Rings 2 and then in the evening Morgan and I will be making them dinner! As i sit here and think of what i want to talk about next, i am just going to tell you about how school is right now. Clinical's for us (Morgan Bailey and I) are Wednesday Evening from 2:00pm - 10:30pm. I love it so much more than morning clinical. I am so much more awake and ready to do stuff compared to last semester. The day is longer, but we also get to begin to give medications to the patients (supervised of course). Research on our patients takes so much longer this semester because we have to write down all their Meds and a bunch of information for each of them. We have to understand what we are giving them and why. The three of us are on the Oncology floor, which is the cancer unit. I am excited to be on this floor because i will not get to experience new things and i am happy for the change where i wont have to be doing a bed bath every day along with the usual vital signs and standing around.
Our Nursing 150 class is much more work for us than last year. I can already see that and it is only the second week. My eye balls feel like they might fall out from all the reading i have done. Some of it is interesting, but sometimes it is so much reading that i cannot concentrate. Though, tonight i found out if i listen to Beethoven when i read, i can focus on it better. Isn't that so cool?
Well, its 2:15 and now i am getting drowsy. I do need some sleep right now. I have to be up by 9 to get a shower in and some apartment cleaning done before the boys arrive. I hope i am not so tired that i cannot fall asleep. Wish me luck, and pray that the people below can begin to be more quiet the rest of their time here.
Goodnight everyone
Lots of love from us
-Jaimee
